In a bid to support academic excellence and youth development, Lagos Mainland Chairmanship Hopeful, Ayodeji Rilwan Tinubu has announced the launch of the 2nd Edition of the Free JAMB Tutorial Class for students in Lagos Mainland Local Government.
The initiative, which follows the successful maiden edition, aims to benefit 250 students across the nine political wards of the local government. Last year’s edition recorded a remarkable impact, with over 200 beneficiaries, 40% scoring above 250, out of which 23% gaining admission into various universities and polytechnics across the country.
Organised in partnership with the Centre for Youth Development and Skill Acquisition (CYDAS), the free JAMB tutorial will provide intensive academic coaching as well as free Computer-Based Test (CBT) training, ensuring students are well-prepared for the upcoming examination.
Programme Schedule is scheduled to commence Monday 10th February and end 25th April 2025.
Speaking on the initiative, Ayodeji Rilwan Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to education and youth empowerment, emphasising the importance of providing young people with opportunities to excel academically.
This initiative is aimed at bridging the gap for students who lack access to quality JAMB coaching. Education is a powerful tool for change, and we are determined to equip students in Lagos Mainland with the resources they need to succeed, he said.
With the rising cost of education, this free JAMB class is expected to ease the financial burden on families while increasing students’ chances of securing admission into higher institutions.
