Ayodeji Rilwan Tinubu (ART) extends his heartfelt congratulations to Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, OON, on her well-deserved election as a member of the Steering Committee of the Organisation of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD). This prestigious election took place during the 29th Ordinary General Assembly of OAFLAD, held on the sidelines of the 38th African Union Summit in Addis Ababa.

Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s election into the highest decision-making body of OAFLAD is a testament to her unwavering commitment to advocacy and development. As a two-term First Lady of Lagos State, she demonstrated exceptional leadership through the New Era Foundation, pioneering numerous initiatives aimed at youth empowerment, education, and women’s development. Her tenure as Senator representing Lagos Central further solidified her reputation as a dynamic and visionary leader dedicated to societal progress.

ART describes this election as a “round peg in a round hole,” reflecting the suitability of Senator Oluremi Tinubu for this esteemed position. With her vast experience and strategic mindset, there is no doubt that OAFLAD’s 2025-2030 Strategic Framework will be effectively implemented under her guidance. Her inclusion in the eight-member Steering Committee, representing West Africa, is a significant milestone that will undoubtedly drive the Organisation’s advocacy initiatives to greater heights.

Ayodeji Rilwan Tinubu urges all First Ladies across Africa to rally behind Senator Oluremi Tinubu in achieving the collective goals of OAFLAD. Unity and collaboration among member nations will ensure that the benefits of OAFLAD’s mission reach every corner of the continent. With her at the helm, Africa stands to witness remarkable progress in sustainable development, healthcare, and gender equality.

Once again, ART congratulates Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and wishes her a successful tenure as she embarks on this noble journey of service and impact.
