One of the most outstanding All Progressives Congress APC, Chairmanship Aspirant for Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA,Prince Olusegun Kayode Oyeniyi has reaffirmed his commitment towards the political liberation of the masses from poverty and stagnation.
Prince Oyeniyi who is popularly called Segkay by his teeming admirers and political supporters made the vow while speaking during a breakfast meeting organized in his stead by Ayobo-Ipaja Realtor Practitioners for the Segkay Campaign Team.
In his brief but inspiring message,SegKay thanked his Professional Colleagues, management and Staffs of SegKay Properties for the honour bestowed on him as a great Ambassador of the Real Estate sector.
He explained the reason why he dropped his chairmanship aspiration due to the realignments within his political caucus.
Saying,”It is no more a news that I,PRINCE OLUSEGUN KAYODE OYENIYI (SEGKAY) and all my Political Associates under the aegis of SegKay Campaign Organization have NOT abandoned the race but have re-navigated and chart a new course.
Quoting conspicuously Zig Ziglar, that “when obstacles arise one can change direction to reach a destination, but that does not change the mission to get to that destination”.
After a due consultation with articulate members of SegKay Political family, and pressure from my supporters I decided to issue a public statement to clarify on the situation so to avoid some misinformations regarding my 2025 Chairmanship Aspiration for Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA on the platform of our great party,the All Progressives Congress, APC.
He said,”no Amount of Intimidation will make me abandoned this struggle to liberate the masses from poverty,though I am not desperate nor do my aspiration means “do-or-die” but it is just a passion for service.
But with that strong encouragement and massive supports that I,Prince Olusegun Kayode OYENIYI, and my Team (Segkay Initiative) enjoyed throughout the period of our consultation regarding my chairmanship aspiration which reposed confidence on my popularity, acceptability and street credibility of SegKay as a strong grassroots political brand.
I want to make it clear for record purposes that
my withdrawal from the race is not due to any influence or pressure from anybody or quarters as been peddled by some rumor mongers.
My aspiration is driven by passion and unquenchable thirsty for Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA rapid development and transformation am not in the race for the ostentation or glamour of the exalted Chairmanship Office but just offering myself to serve my people”.
However,since no single individual,no matter how affluent or powerful has the RIGHT to aggregate and expropriate the collective aspirations of a community of people because everybody has natural right to determine who BEST represents their interest and right of expression and aspiration in politics.
I have dare to struggle and I dare to win because if I had wavered
to struggle I wouldn’t have deserve to win and winners don’t quit,
quitters don’t win.
But due to respect, loyalty and mutual understanding with my leaders within the Alimosho Justice Forum,JF under the banner of the Asiwaju Solidarity Movement, ASM, a formidable caucus nurtured and led by our indefatigable Mama,Her Excellency, Princess Hon.Adejoke Orelope Adefulire.
And as a matured minded progressive democrat,I want to state unequivocally here that I remain loyal aligning with the collective decision of H.E.Mama Adefulire and our other eminent ASM Leaders to mobilize support and deliver all our candidates from this caucus to emerge victorious at the forthcoming APC Primaries.
To my all members of SegKay Initiative who are my partners in progress and admirers at home and in diaspora,I want to use this medium to say a Big Thank You for your resilience,kind gestures, prayers and generous financial supports sustaining the struggle.
To our Media Partners, Collaborators and Networks am humbled by your Pen Fraternity as “It’s about who stands with me in the rain when I know you also have a choice to be dry somewhere” in running this great vision with me.
Like we have decided to continue to channel all our God’s given potentials and resources through Segkay Initiative to continue our positive impact on our people by driving the grassroots socioeconomic and political developments of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA.
That’s why I said boldly that,’Its not over until it’s over’,I will continue to be at the vanguard to promote peaceful coexistence of all an sundry, mobilize resources to fulight poverty, injustice, political inequities and the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu 2027 Project.
And on that inspiring note, Segkay send his heartwarming congratulations to OTUNBA HON. LADIPUPO OLUWALONI-OLO 1, Executive Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA for emerging as JF/ASM amourbearer.
He also officially declared his total support and endorsed his candidature for the APC Chairmanship and to other JF/ASM Councillors at the coming primary.
He expressed his deepest gratitude to Alhaji Kamarudeen AYILARA whom he said has mentored him for over three decades.
He equally pay glowing tribute to Honourable Loqman Orelope, member,Lagos House of Assembly,LAHA Alimosho 01 and other progressive minded Leaders of APC in Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA,for their constant commitment, consistency, unshakeable patriotism and wisdom in navigating the grizzly political terrains.
SegKay concluded by reassuring that all JF/ASM Candidates SHALL emerge victorious at the coming primary.
