Thousands of women and girls in Nigeria suffer in silence, often facing isolation and stigma.
The theme “Breaking the Cycle: Preventing Fistula Worldwide” emphasizes the need for comprehensive action. To prevent Obstetric Fistula, we must strengthen maternal health services, end child marriage, empower women through education, and ensure skilled care during childbirth.
“Let’s work together to end Obstetric Fistula now. We owe it to our mothers, daughters, and sisters to create a society that values their health and dignity,” the first lady said.
