The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has expressed her heartfelt condolences to the people of Niger State following the devastating floods that hit Mokwa, Tiffin Maza, and Anguwan Hausawa communities on May 28-29, 2025.
In a statement released on Friday, Senator Tinubu condoled with Governor Mohammed Umar Bago and the entire people of Niger State, describing the loss of lives and property as “very saddening.”
The statement read, “I express my heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the Niger State Governor, His Excellency, Hon Mohammed Umar Bago, and the good people of Niger State on the flooding incidence… This devastating flooding, which led to loss of lives and properties occasioned by torrential rainfall and the geographical terrain of the State is very saddening.”
The First Lady prayed for the families, friends, and loved ones affected by the tragedy, saying, “I pray that Almighty God gives the families, friends and loved ones of those affected the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. I pray that God grant the departed souls eternal peace and rest.”
Senator Tinubu’s message of condolence comes as a gesture of solidarity with the people of Niger State during this difficult time.
