She made this call while delivering an address on the second day of the Third Annual Global First Partners Academy, ongoing in New York.
Themed “First Partners Role in the World; Preparing the Youth for the Future,” the First Lady’s address highlighted the importance of strategic initiatives in backing the aspirations of young people. Senator Tinubu emphasized that building mental capacity, reshaping mindsets, and nurturing self-belief can transform lives. She noted that the youth are creative, innovative, hardworking, and resilient, and that they need to be engaged positively and provided with a conducive environment to thrive.
The First Lady’s Renewed Hope Initiative and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda were cited as examples of efforts to empower the youth and build a sustainable future. Senator Tinubu urged First Ladies to leverage their unique positions to seek partnerships that provide holistic solutions to issues affecting children, women, and youths. The Global First Partners Academy features presentations and discussions on topics such as Artificial Intelligence in women’s health, technological trends shaping the youth’s future, and AI in food security.
