The United Prestigious Club, Alimosho, comprising mostly Igbo residents, has pledged absolute loyalty to Hon. Akinpelu Johnson’s chairmanship bid and his running mate, Francis Adebisi. The group’s decision was made after careful consideration of the candidate’s Wise Agenda plans and leadership qualities.

Hon. Akeem Ejalonibu, a member of the club and a former chairmanship aspirant, expressed the group’s enthusiasm for Akinpelu Johnson’s candidacy and his running mate, Francis Adebisi. “We’re impressed by Hon. Akinpelu Johnson’s leadership style and his commitment to the development of Alimosho. We believe he has the capacity to bring people together and move our community forward. The party has made its decision, and it behooves all of us as members of the All Progressives Congress to support the candidates of the party. I will do everything humanly possible to ensure we not only win the election but with a wide margin,” he said.

Engr. Adebayo Akande, the Director-General of Akinpelu Johnson’s campaign organization, represented the candidate at the meeting with the United Prestigious Club. “This endorsement is a testament to Hon. Akinpelu Johnson’s growing popularity and the trust he’s built among various communities in Alimosho. We’re grateful for the United Prestigious Club’s support,” he said, highlighting the key aspects of the Wise Agenda programme, including a focus on agriculture to produce food in abundance and support for farmers.

Lawrence Eze, the Eze Ndigbo of Alimosho, applauded Ejalonibu for facilitating the meeting and promised total support to mobilize their people towards the election. Chief Allwell Ezeamochie, a member of the group, also expressed confidence in Akinpelu Johnson’s ability to deliver on his promises and make Alimosho a better place for all residents. “We’ll do everything possible to ensure that Hon. Akinpelu Johnson wins the election convincingly because he has all it takes. We will do door-to-door campaign within the very few hours remaining before the election with our people. We are not only residents of Alimosho but business owners and landlords,” he said.

The United Prestigious Club’s endorsement is seen as a significant boost to Akinpelu Johnson’s campaign, which has already gained momentum with support from other groups in Alimosho. With this development, Akinpelu Johnson’s chances of emerging victorious in the chairmanship election have increased significantly.
