The Lawmaker representing Alimosho Constituency II, in the ninth (9th) Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Kehinde Olaide Joseph has expressed his heartfelt condolence to the Oniru of Iru Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdul-Wasiu Omogbolahan Lawal, Lagos State House of Assembly Chief Whip, Hon Mojisola Lawal, their family and the entire good people of Iru Kingdom over the shocking death of the king’s mother Alhaja Lawal-Akapo who died yesterday at the age of 85.
Speaking through his Head of Media & Strategic Communication on Thursday in Lagos, the parliamentarian described the late mother as an extraordinary epitome of enviable womanhood that deserves to be always remembered as she lived a life of service, love, compassion, excellence and a pillar solidly behind her husband, who stopped at nothing to train her children to greater heights.
“Kabiyesi Alayeluwa, your late mother will surely be missed by everyone for she had lived a life of an epitome of a good wife and a loving mother who not only stood by her husband but also laboured so hard to see you and your siblings become successful in life.
“Your heart shall soon be filled with wonderful memories of your joyful times together as you celebrate a life well spent by your great mother”, he said.
The Legislator also urged the Chief Whip of the House, Hon Mojisola Lawal, to be consoled with the fact Mama lived to full old age, lived well and left legacy of industry and integrity.
“God gives and takes away. In this particular circumstances, may His name bee praised for Mama lived a good life and witnessed the greatness of her children and had the fortune of being survived by her biological children and countless others whose lives she had impacted positively.
“Our prayer is that may her gentle soul rest in the perfect peace of the Almighty God the King of Kings”, the statement added.
