In a serene hall, about some minutes past 10am, September 8th 2022, Alimosho TV witnessed the commencement of the Excel Minds Academy Group’s Summit. The General Coordinator of Excel Minds Academy Group, Olaniyi Mubarak, gave a Welcome Address and Miss Sanni Oluwatobiloba further spoke about Excel Minds Academy. Entertainingly, a creative, Adeshina Toluwabori, did a fabulous show of reciting all the phobias from A to Z with their meanings, which thrilled the audience.

Bright Sekoni, C.E.O AUDACIA, a renowned real estate firm, was the first Guest Speaker, who delivered a superbly invigorating speech to liberate the minds of the listeners, that more is needed to be done beyond just being a degree holder and albeit, shared his success story in real estate. His company currently worths over 1.2 billion naira. The next speaker, Anuoluwapo Adelakun is a Journalist, Award-winning Documentary Filmmaker and Development Practitioner. She walked the audience through her life’s sojourn. In her words, “She’s on a journey to excellence and perfection. Face your own race, run it well and win. Look for a problem and find a solution to it, you will stand out in life. In a world with constant changing opinions, don’t conform. Choose to standout”.

The Deputy VC, LASU, Prof. Adenike Boyo, distinguishingly represented the VC of LASU, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, to congratulate and revere the sounding efforts of Excel Minds Academy Group in the school, and further urged the students in attendance to act on the lessons obtained from the awe-inspiring summit.

“Be sure to use the social media in a good way. Be open to every opportunity that you pick along the way and utilize them.”, said Sarah Tiamiyu, a LASU Alumna, Video Journalist at BBC, a filmmaker, Creative Director and a Writer. Among the speakers is the graceful Martha Akintelu (PHRi, ACIPM), People and Change Consultant, KPMG. She shared some soothingly useful nuggets that can help one attain desired successes. Martha opined, “Every single thing you do in your present life will influence your future. What inspires you is what speeds up your success. Make small commitments and keep to them. Consistency is a game changer. Consistently build. Be so impactful your absence is felt. Be so impactful your influence is always felt”.

Another of the guest speakers, Onyia Emmanuel, a Product Specialist (PayStack), said, “Never be afraid to make mistakes. Value your time, it’s all you have got. There is power in asking questions. It is better to ask and get opportunities than not ask and miss out on opportunities. Things don’t just work, put in the work”. And the inspiring speaking session ended with Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, SA to the Honorable Commissioner for Health, Lagos State Government. He enlightened that the most important thing one can take out of school is not one’s certificate, but the discipline, perseverance and hard work one had put into achieving success while in school.

Even the heavens smiled at how fabulously the event was concluded with the outstanding and appreciative speech given by Oladimeji Shotunde, the Founder of Excel Minds Academy Group, which inclusively ended with awards to great personalities and members of the group.
