The PBAT 2027 Re-election Support Group has taken its grassroots mobilisation drive to Agege with a street campaign aimed at engaging residents and promoting the candidacies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Lagos APC governorship candidate Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, and other APC candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections. The exercise was led by the group’s Director-General, Mr. Fola Tinubu.
The campaign team moved through major streets in Agege, interacting with residents, supporters and community members while distributing souvenirs and chanting solidarity songs. The mobilisation provided an opportunity for the group to communicate its campaign messages and draw attention to what it described as the achievements and policies of the Tinubu administration.
As part of the exercise, the campaign train paid courtesy visits to three traditional rulers in Agege to seek royal blessings. The team visited HRM Oba Kamila Oyedeji Isiba, Oba Ambaliu Agbedeyi of Orile Agege, and HRM Oba Abdulateef Oladimeji Egbeyemi.
The mobilisation also attracted the APC candidates for the Lagos State House of Assembly seats in Agege Constituencies I and II, Hon. Gbenga Abiola Agbelebu and Hon. Shakiru Akindele Enimakure, respectively. Their supporters and other APC members joined the procession, contributing to the turnout and grassroots engagement across the community.
Agbelebu and Enimakure participated actively in the street mobilisation, joining the campaign team in distributing souvenirs and engaging members of the public. They also joined supporters in singing and dancing along the campaign route, while residents and other members of the community interacted with the campaign team.
The Agege exercise forms part of the PBAT 2027 Re-election Support Group’s wider grassroots mobilisation programme as political activities ahead of the 2027 elections gather momentum. The group has said its activities are focused on taking its campaign messages directly to communities across Lagos and engaging residents at the grassroots.
