-Says Presentation Of Agricultural Equipments Will Serve As Morale Booster.
The new chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almoroof Oloyede (Kendoo), has lauded the Lagos State governor for his agricultural initiative, saying the initiative is very timely more so in such a critical time that the cost of food stuffs have increased.
It should be recalled that Gov. Babajide Sanwo-olu had on 31st of July, 2021 empowered over 3000 agroprenuers farmers that were critically selected in a transparent and merit-based process across the length and breadth of Lagos State.
The agricultural tools and equipments that were presented to the farmers include tractors, smoking-kim, feeds, crates of eggs, layers, fertilizers, to mention but a few. The presentation is aimed at motivating them as well as lessen their operational stress. It is also aimed at ensuring food security.
“We must commend our amiable governor for this kind of initiative to motivate our farmers. Mr governor is always having foresight in executing policies that will improve the businesses of lagosians and ensure their living standard is guaranteed” the chairman noted.
“The injection of these equipments, tools and agricultural accessaries will greatly assist our farmers, improve and increase their outputs as well as lead to food surplus for lagosians. It is also a giant step towards ensuring food security”, he concluded.
Kendoo promised to emulate the leadership style of Gov. Jide Sanwo-olu in tackling critical sector of the Oshodi-Isolo local government economy.
