As part of his humanitarian interventions and his genuine passion to address the health needs of women and girls in his Senatorial District, the Senator representing Ogun West, Sen. Tolu Odebiyi has donated one million Naira towards the provision of Sanitary pads for women and girls in Ogun State.
This was done to support the initiative championed by the executives of the National Association of Ogun State Students (NAOSS) which they tagged ‘PAD
UP OGUN FEMALE GENDER’. The initiative is in commemoration of the United Nation World Girl-Child Day coming up on the 11th of October, 2020.
While commending the Students for organising the programme, Sen. Odebiyi who is also the Vice Chairman, Senate Committee on Federal Capital Territory (FCT), said the monetary intervention is part of his contribution to the project ‘Pad Up Ogun Female Gender’ spearheaded by the National Association of Ogun State Students (NAOSS).
He also notes that the donation is due, largely to his passion to promote the well-being of women, youths as well as his love to support noble causes, such as advocacy, research, entrepreneurship, ICT, Agribusiness etc. that will add value to the society.
The Ogun West Senator uses this noble initiative championed by the Students body, as a point of reinforcing his encouragement to women and girls on the need to stay safe even in the face of daunting life’s challenges.
