The Apeke Dynasty Foundation has continued its annual medical outreach programme, providing free healthcare services to over 500 residents of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA and neighbouring communities. The initiative, which focuses on supporting less-privileged members of society, has now entered its fourth consecutive edition, reaffirming the foundation’s commitment to improving access to basic healthcare.
This year’s outreach provided beneficiaries with comprehensive medical checks, professional medical consultations, necessary recommendations, and prescribed medications at no cost. The programme also featured Hepatitis B testing, HPV vaccination, dental screening, HIV testing, and comprehensive eye examinations. As part of the intervention, 500 beneficiaries received free prescription eyeglasses to support better vision and overall quality of life.
Speaking on the motivation behind the initiative, the founder of Apeke Dynasty Foundation, Mrs. Emeka Opeyemi Maureen (Apeke), said supporting the less privileged has always been a personal passion that dates back to her childhood.
“Supporting the less privileged has been part of me since I was young, and I don’t think I will stop doing what is naturally part of me. So, I decided to choose the medical path as my support and contribution to my community and beyond. This is the fourth edition, and it has been back-to-back. Though it has not been easy to run due to the huge financial implications, all the glory and adoration belong to God,” she said.
The founder also expressed appreciation to members of her team, partners, medical professionals, volunteers, donors, and individuals who have supported the foundation over the years. She acknowledged that the success of the outreach would not have been possible without the collective efforts and contributions of those who continue to believe in the foundation’s vision.
“I am also using this medium to appreciate my team, our partners, and all those who have been assisting Apeke Dynasty Foundation over the years in one way or another. I say a big thank you. And to our people, we will keep doing more. Rest assured, we are 24/7 ready to come your way and assist in any little way we can to ensure you have access to good healthcare,” she added.
The medical outreach underscores the importance of community-based healthcare initiatives, particularly for residents who may face financial barriers to accessing routine medical screening, preventive care, and essential treatment. By bringing these services directly to the community, the Apeke Dynasty Foundation continues to create opportunities for early detection, health awareness, and timely medical intervention.
The foundation further called on individuals, corporate organisations, healthcare providers, philanthropists, and other well-meaning members of society to support its activities through partnerships and donations. According to the founder, sustainable collaboration will enable the organisation to reach more communities and expand the scope of its interventions.
