The Iyanru Ojugbele Adeitan royal family of Ota has called on Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to intervene and arrest the land grabbers who are falsely claiming ownership of their ancestral land, measuring 80,880 square meters, located on the Lagos-Abeokuta Express Road.
A pseudo name, E.J. Alex Kehinde Taylor, was created to claim ownership of the land with forged documents and the support of some powerful people in the Government of Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu. This was done to forcefully and falsely take over the land.
Over a long period, before the Iyanru royal family finally secured a court judgment for the large expanse of land, there has never been a time when the Taylor family, children, or relations appeared in court to defend their claim in person. Instead, they relied on proxies, and at no point in all the several meetings called by the state or other stakeholders did anyone come forward with evidence as a Taylor family member. Only miscreant land grabbers, who forged court documents with the backing of some individuals in the government, were present.
It is disturbing that these land grabbers, who have criminal cases pending for forging court documents, could issue a press release titled: “Months after Consent Judgment, Gov. Sanwo-Olu Reverses, Revokes, and Grabs Taylor Family Land.” This is nothing but blackmail against the person of the Governor.
In their defamatory publication, published on December 26, 2024, ( https://phoenix-browser.com/FHpAw2e1JHK ), on the phoenix app through ‘TheNigerianLawyer’ blog, written by one Unimi Chioma, it was asserted that Governor Sanwo-Olu has a penchant for disobeying court orders.
However, investigations by this medium proved otherwise, revealing that the Governor is a law-abiding citizen. Evidence of this can be seen in the past, where he reclaimed land from grabbers, as was the case with the Meadows family, who regained their land with the Governor’s assistance.
The Iyanru Ojugbele Adeitan royal family appealed to the Governor to set aside all vested interests in this property, allowing the rightful owner to take full possession.
